To support our fast growing Li-Ion battery business, we are looking for a new member to join our Team in Ismaning (Munich) as

 

Sales Manager (m/f/d) Automotive

 

In this role, you will bundle all sales activities for a defined customer base in the automotive sector. You will work in coordination with other departments, such as Engineering and Project Management, Quality and SCM, in particular Demand Management, both at our Ismaning site near Munich and from remote with our headquarters in Korea.

 Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • You will plan and develop a comprehensive sales strategy for xEV batteries in close partnership with the customer and coordinate this in-house with the European and Global Sales Management
  • You will implement a strategy, building on existing projects and relationships to act as a reliable partner for our customer, representing Samsung SDI Europe in all key sales and development projects
  • You will proactively liaise with all key decision makers across all levels and functions of the group, obtain and share all necessary market and customer information
  • You will have the opportunity to actively shape different project phases from project management to the series phase and make a decisive contribution to the operational implementation of our sales strategy in cooperation with our customers through active price management
  • Due to the growth strategy, there will be additional opportunities for active project acquisition in the future
  • You will engage in close teamwork and cooperation with sales, marketing and development in Europe and at our headquarters in South Korea

 

Your Profile:

  • You successfully obtained a technical degree, preferably in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable training with a good technical understanding
  • You have consistently pursued your professional career in the sales of electronic assemblies or powertrains in automotive, B2B sales of technical or electronic products at a Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier
  • You have an interest in Li-ion technology, e-mobility and possibly also renewable energies, as well as a clear understanding of current and future market trends
  • In addition to commercial know-how and decision-making skills, you are great working independently, combined with an organizational talent and multitasking skills
  • Willingness to travel in Europe and to a small extent to Asia
  • Business fluent in English and a high level of intercultural competence, German fluency is a plus
