To support our fast growing Li-Ion battery business, we are looking for a new member to join our Team in Ismaning (Munich) as

 

Sales Manager (m/f/d) Automotive

 

In this role, you will bundle all sales activities for a defined customer base in the automotive sector. You will work in coordination with other departments, such as Engineering and Project Management, Quality and SCM, in particular Demand Management, both at our Ismaning site near Munich and from remote with our headquarters in Korea.

 Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Expand and maintain existing business relationships while developing new partnerships with automotive OEMs, Tier1 suppliers, and key decision-makers.
  • Ensuring a high level of market and competitive intelligence.
  • Develop and execute Sales strategies for Germany and Europe.
  • Drive business development activities by analyzing customer potential and developing strategies to expand business on a global scale.
  • Support successful acquisition of new projects in collaboration with the responsible departments.
  • Prepare quotes and support cost analysis activities.
  • Continuously monitor customer strategies and objectives within development, purchasing, and marketing, while proactively supporting business opportunities and strategic alignment.
  • Drive technical cost optimization initiatives with customers to improve profitability.
  • Planning by brand, with objective margin improvement linked to customer actions.

 

Your Profile:

  • Education: university degree preferably in a technical background (mechanical or electrical / electronic).
  • Work experience: 2-3 years of experience in a Sales or Account Management role in the automotive world (preferred at a supplier).
  • In-depth understanding of the organization and the decision processes of the Automotive Customers/ Tier1.
  • Highly skilled in convincing contact persons at the decision-making regarding both technical and other issues.
  • High degree of expertise and mastery in the field of the automotive industry market and competitors.
  • Experience in negotiating framework contracts and conducting annual price negotiations on a global basis.
  • Very experienced in leading direct negotiations with key customers and key suppliers.
  • Languages: German native speaker with fluency in English. French and/ or Italian would be an advantage.
